AMSOIL University 2009 is now behind us, and you can be sure that those Dealers who attended left here armed with knowledge that will serve them greatly as they work to expand their businesses. It was four days of intense training and I congratulate our AMSOIL U graduates for their effort and determination. The AMSOIL University experience pays tremendous dividends, and all Dealers would benefit from it.
I do realize, of course, that personal commitments or other circumstances prevented many Dealers from attending. I also realize that not all Dealers share the same goals and ambitions in regard to their AMSOIL Dealerships. Some Dealers choose to work their businesses on a very limited basis, and others come on board, as Preferred Customers do, to experience the many benefits our products provide. That is all fine. I appreciate each and every AMSOIL Dealer and Preferred Customer we have.
To those Dealers who are committed to earning a serious AMSOIL income, I will say this: with an AMSOIL business, as with any business, the more knowledge you gain the more successful you become. Knowledge is power. So take advantage of every educational opportunity you have. In addition to AMSOIL University, Dealers should read the materials we publish. There is no company that produces more product literature than AMSOIL. Read the sales brochures and study the data bulletins. Learn the features and benefi ts of the products and understand the appropriate applications. The lubricant industry is changing more rapidly than ever, and specifi cations are changing almost daily. Stay current and offer yourself as a valuable resource to your customers and accounts.
Dealers would also be wise to visit the AMSOIL website on a regular basis. With over five thousand pages it is an outstanding resource for product information, industry news and your personal business activity. Stay on top of “What’s New” in the Dealer Zone, view the webinar and Power Point presentations, explore everything available under the “Training” tab and learn to navigate through all of the other information. The Action News, “How to” manuals and AMSOIL “White Papers” are also excellent sources of information. I could list more. The point is, you should never stop learning. Of course, it doesn’t stop with learning. As an AMSOIL Dealer working to build his or her business, it is absolutely essential that you apply great effort to training. Your ambitious downline Dealers are eager to learn from you. Stay in contact with your personal group members and be a constant resource for them. Whether it’s through newsletters, phone calls, personal e-mails or Dealer meetings, communication and training are essential to the growth of your business.
Speaking of Dealer meetings, check out the “Bulletin Board” section of this issue of your Action News. There are a lot of meetings being held throughout the AMSOIL network, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Done effectively, meetings can be a tremendous way to grow a large, productive AMSOIL Dealership.
I will wrap this up with one fi nal observation from AMSOIL University. That is, I was absolutely thrilled by the high degree of enthusiasm I saw. I don’t recall an AMSOIL event where Dealers were more optimistic. Several expressed how this past April was their best month ever and May was on track to be even better. Their appreciation of the AMSOIL opportunity was absolutely overwhelming, and I can’t tell you how gratifying that is. To all Dealers, keep up the hard work, and good things will happen for you.
